September 15, 2026– Today, Senator Vincent Hughes announced over $9.4 million for community projects throughout the 7th senatorial district in Philadelphia and Montgomery County. The Statewide Local Share Account grants were awarded by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
“This is over nine million dollars that will support better safety services, upgraded local infrastructure, improved outdoor spaces, and new construction in our community,” said Senator Hughes. “We will directly see and feel the impact of these investments. I’m proud to announce this money for the district and I’m proud of the organizations and leaders who are taking initiative to use this money to breathe new life and opportunity into Philly and Montgomery County.”
