1964 Civil Rights Act 60th Year Anniversary Commemoration
Temple University's Center for Anti-Racism Polett Walk, PhiladelphiaJoin Senator Hughes and me for our event commemorating the Civil Rights Act of 1964. That legislation ended 100 years of legal segregation that kept Africans as second-class citizens and out of public libraries, out of many jobs, out of many restaurants, out of many hotels, out of most of higher education. We will be joined by a panel of experts to discuss the impact of the Civil Rights Act in our lives today.
