September 15, 2011 — State Sen. Vincent J. Hughes (D-Philadelphia/Montgomery) today presented a $ 12 million check to the Bakers Centre (formerly known as Bakers Square) economic development project. The Bakers Centre shopping complex is located in the Hunting Park West section of Philadelphia at the former headquarters of the famed Tasty Baking Company.

“Holiday Affair with a Flare”
December 20, 2010 — Sen. Vincent Hughes and Sheryl Lee Ralph hosted their annual holiday event, “Holiday Affair with a Flare,” on December 20 at World Café Live. Several hundred people attended, all eager to give to the SHARE Food Program of Pennsylvania (Self-Help and Resource Exchange), which serves Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, Metro New York and the Maryland Eastern Shore.
